Middle East in Transition

The historic developments in the Arab world since December 2010 have ushered in a tumultuous phase in the Middle East. Scholars of the Middle East of all disciplinary stripes are struggling to get a sustainable understanding of events, seeking to distinguish the ephemeral from the fundamental. This research group recognizes that the Middle East as a region is not only in a state of turmoil, but rather in a state of transition. This research group is interested in the analysis of this transition, and employs a multidisciplinary approach to attain this goal.
