Mining for Energy Transition: Understanding drivers of (un)sustainable mineral extraction (2022-2023) is funded by the UvA Research Priority Area ENLENS. The project is coordinated by Prof. Barbara Hogenboom and comprises of students and colleagues of CEDLA and FNWI. The project combines a qualitative analysis of societal drivers of lithium mining with a quantitative analysis of the resulting environmental effects and spatial-temporal changes in land use.
