Carlos Reijnen (1975) specializes in European integration and Central and Eastern European history and politics. His current research interests focus on East West relations in Europe and on the construction of European public sphere(s). Previous projects include the Czech Stalinist nationalism and Czech perceptions of Europe and European integration. The latter project resulted in the dissertation Op de drempel van Europa. De Tsjechen en Europa in de twintigste eeuw (At the Threshold of Europe. The Czechs and Europe in the Twentieth Century, Leiden, 2005, with distinction).
