River Commons (2021-2026) is funded by Wageningen Interdisciplinary Research and Education Fund (INREF). The project is coordinated by Prof. Rutgerd Boelens and is part of the Moving Rivers network of senior and junior scholars across a wide range of disciplines in collaboration with social movements, activists, NGOs, research institutes, national and international policy-making institutes. The project objective is to develop transdisciplinary concepts and methods for research, education, and multi-stakeholder interactions to understand and support river co-governance initiatives and sustainable socio-ecological river systems in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
