Social safety: courses, workshops and resources for staff
There are several training courses and workshops that help you recognise socially unsafe situations, identify undesirable behaviour, listen actively or help you deal with the effects of undesirable behaviour.
Almost the entire range of courses on offer is aimed at enabling the lecturer to create a safe and motivating learning environment. Take a look at the entire range of courses, or specifically at these courses that deal with social safety:
Skills for the International Classroom: this course focuses on how international and social differences can impact the learning environment and teaching strategies.
Guiding discussions: a course with less direct links to social safety, but aimed at guidance and making themes open for discussion.
Do you want to expand your base knowledge about diversity, inclusion and intersectionality? Check out the list of workshops from the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) team to increase your skills of talking about diversity, or become more aware of your biases.
Don't want to let your biases control you? This GoodHabitz training course will help you become more aware of your assumptions.
